UNIVERSITY INTERNET CENTRE

A BSNL leased line and ERNETV-SAT Internet facilities are available in all departments, libraries, Computer Centres of both campuses. A 512 Kbps VSAT under UGC INFONET Program is under installation at the Vigyan Bhawan to provide high speed Internet connectivity to interconnect our University with other Universities in the country. Internet facilities and campus networks are operated and maintained by the Internet Center of the University. The State Government of Rajasthan sanctions this center. Main objective of the Centre is to provide basic facilities and training to students and teachers to access educational and research information. The Centre is equipped with Internet World Wide Server, Mail Server, Remote Access Server, and Internet Server. A common computer network known as Sukhadia University Network (SUNET) to interlink all educational institutions in Udaipur and affiliated colleges is under development.

Internet facility is available to students and faculty members through the University Computer Network from different departments, computer centers and libraries. Students are free to use E-mail facilities to exchange information on cultural, social and scientific topics to participate in various electronic discussion forums etc.

A World Wide Web Internet server is installed to provide information about the University, its constituent and affiliated college, different courses, research activities etc. on the Internet. The Web address of this University is www.mlsu.org. Internet Centre will be conducting different short term advance courses on Internet and Internet Networking, Web Page, Designing, Multimedia, etc.

UNIVERSITY COMPUTER CENTRE

University Computer Center was established in 1990 with the support of University Grand Commission. The Computer Centre provides computing facilities and offers MCA Programme. The Computer Centre is equipped with modern computing facilities consisting of UNIX, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, Linux and NetWare Servers. It also has 80 PCs, multimedia systems, and Laser and Line printers. In additional to the standard PC software, the Centre also has software like Oracle, Web Developer Suite, DB2, WSAD, Visual Studio, Mathematica, and ChemOffice etc.
